Mission
NBLC provides a structured, positive outlet for boys and girls ages 4–15, fostering skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for the game. The club emphasizes creating a fun, inclusive environment where players, coaches, officials, and families demonstrate integrity and cooperation, embodying the principle of “Honoring the Game.” The organization promotes player growth through competition, practice, and mentorship, while maintaining strong partnerships with local municipal and county recreational programs
Affiliations and Governance
The club is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, which includes both elected and appointed officers responsible for administration, coaching oversight, field operations, fundraising, and player registration. All Board Members, Coaches, and Volunteers are required to maintain current background checks and certifications through recognized safety and coaching programs (including Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. and USA Lacrosse requirements)

NBLC operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All proceeds support the club’s mission, player development, and community programs; no part of its income benefits private individuals or members
POLICIES & CODE OF CONDUCT
Purpose
Northern Burlington Lacrosse Club (NBLC) maintains clear standards of conduct to ensure a positive, safe, and sportsmanlike environment for all players, coaches, parents, and volunteers. These policies reflect NBLC’s commitment to player development, volunteer integrity, and community respect. All members—athletes, coaches, and families—must review and agree to these rules during registration.
1. PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
-
Show respect to teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials at all times.
-
Follow the directions of your coach and attend practices and games consistently.

-
Always “Honor the Game”—play hard, play fair, and respect everyone involved.

2. PARENT & SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT

Support your child and team through positive encouragement—never coaching from the sideline.
-
Respect officials and refrain from verbal abuse, yelling, or confrontation.

Avoid engaging other parents, players, or coaches in disputes.
-
Remember that all coaches and administrators are volunteers.
Failure to follow these standards may result in suspension of sideline privileges or removal from club activities.

9. COMMITMENT TO FAIR PLAY
Every member shares responsibility for maintaining NBLC’s reputation. We honor the sport, respect officials, and model good citizenship. Our goal is not only to develop skilled athletes, but also to build character and community through the game of lacrosse.
